Being more green

Protecting the planet, one step at a time

As a business, we’re committed to making your stay as sustainable as possible. From the refillable bottles in our bathrooms, to the ingredients we source in the kitchen, our entire ethos is underpinned by a passion to protect the environment.

So, when visiting us, keep your eyes peeled for even the smallest things we do to promote sustainability. Whether it’s our electric car charging point, the wild (bee-friendly) flowers and grasses on our terrace, or the paper straws in our bar, we’ve worked hard to truly immerse you in our sustainability experience.

It doesn’t stop there, though. Reducing plastics and conserving energy has never been so important, but we know it’s not easy, either. That’s why we encourage you to take advantage of our awards programme, to thank you for conserving water and energy during your stay with us.

Don’t forget to make the most of the local transport on offer while you’re here, too, or perhaps even ditch the car altogether – you’ll have plenty to explore from our doorstep. If you have an electric car, you can access our charging point at no additional charge.

Our partners

As a tourism business in Cornwall, we believe it’s vital to support local organisations working to improve sustainability across the region and give something back.

Today, we’re proud to be Business Members of Cornwall Wildlife Trust, supporting them in their mission as they manage 57 nature reserves, support numerous endangered species and carry out vitally important conservation and educational work throughout the county.

We’re also part of Clean Cornwall’s Turn on the Tap initiative. This is a project which is all about reducing plastic bottles and plastic waste in Cornwall. So, if you’re visiting with us or passing through on your coastal adventure, stop by and fill up your water bottle at no charge – we’ll be happy to help.
