Our food and drink festivals celebrate the best of the local produce on our doorstep, while music and arts events showcase Cornish creativity. Meanwhile, traditional celebrations capture the county’s unique heritage. St Piran’s Day, honouring Cornwall’s patron saint on 5th March, and Helston Flora Day on 8th May, an ancient festival that celebrates spring, are just two local highlights.

Porthleven Food Festival, 24 – 26 April: A three-day feast with chef demos, street food, local producers, and live music in the famous harbour town of Porthleven.
Padstow ‘Obby Oss’ May Day Festival, 1 May: One of Cornwall’s oldest folk traditions returns with colourful processions, music, and lively May Day celebrations.
St Ives Food & Drink Festival, 15 – 17 May: Set on Porthminster Beach, this festival celebrates Cornish produce, local chefs and more (all with the sand between your toes).
Royal Cornwall Show, 4 – 6 June: The biggest event on Cornwall’s farming calendar, expect livestock, competitions, Cornwall makers, local food and family fun near Wadebridge.
Tunes in the Dunes, 5 – 7 June: This beachside music festival takes place on Perranporth Beach, featuring live bands, DJ sets and seaside partying.
Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival, 12 – 14 June: A celebration of maritime music and community spirit, enjoy events across the pubs and streets around Falmouth’s waterfront.
Boardmasters, 5 – 9 August: Cornwall’s biggest surf and music festival, featuring world-class surfing at Fistral Beach and headline acts at Watergate Bay.
Rock Oyster Festival, 23 – 26 July: A vibrant mix of food, music and outdoor fun near Wadebridge, with culinary experiences and headline live music.
Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival, 11 – 13 September: Get a taste of Cornwall’s famous cider, live music, and orchard vibes at Healey’s Cyder Farm.
St Ives September Festival, 12 – 26 September: Expect art, workshops, entertainment, and walking tours celebrating Cornish creative culture.
Falmouth Oyster Festival, 9 – 12 October: Celebrate the native Fal Oyster and diversity of Cornish seafood with four days of cookery demonstrations, feasting and festivities.
