Nature at your fingertips
If you’re into long walks by the beach, exploring woodlands and discovering new wildlife, Cornwall has an abundance of opportunities to get up close with nature and away from the busyness of everyday life.
In fact, it’s a great time to spot seal pups around our shores, with breeding season from September to March each year (don’t forget to follow guidance here to avoid disturbance), as well as the chance to spot dolphins and other marine life.
But did you know Cornwall is also home to two International Dark Sky Parks? Away from the light pollution of big cities, see the stars like you’ve never seen them before. In fact, head just a couple of miles outside Newquay, and you’ll be treated to a sparkling display that, topped off with a picnic dinner, is a romantic experience like no other.
